Finnish Dance Sport Federation (shortened as FDSF) was founded in 1976, and it has been a member of the World DanceSport Federation (shortened as WDSF) ever since. In 1985 the FDSF joined the World Rock’n’Roll Confederation (WRRC).
At the end of the first year the Finnish Dance Sport Federation had 1893 members. Today there are 76 dance sport clubs that are members of the national federation and the federation has through its clubs approximately 12800 registered members.
As a national federation we focus on developing dance sport both as competition and leisure sport, and promoting activities for people at all ages throughout the life span.
